I hear this very often. “You want me to read a book? Who’s got time for that!?”
I’ve been reading this new book, No Limits, by John C. Maxwell. I’ve only been reading it for a couple of days. As you can see I’m making progress.
I didn’t sit down to read the entire book in one sitting. But it seems to me that most people when confronted with reading a book think that that’s what they’re supposed to do. Now I know that’s a silly thought but that’s how they respond.
So here’s what I tell people.
- Can you read 10 pages in a sitting?
- That’ll take around 10 to 15 minutes.
Most people tell me they could do that. And then I told them if you can read 10 pages a day in a month you’ll finish a 300 page book.
My goal in 2017 is to read 12 books. This current book I’m in is book #6. I’ve done this by reading just a little every day and overtime I’ll finish more books this way. I bet you can do the same thing!
Leaders are readers.
